Normal accounts deadlines
Companies House says a private company normally has nine months after its accounting reference date to deliver accounts; a public company normally has six months. First accounts and changed accounting periods use different rules.
Overdue is a record state
A record may show accounts as overdue after the deadline until acceptable accounts are examined and accepted. CompanyBeacon reports the source field; it does not predict penalties or acceptance.
